I know that fat loss isn’t an immediate type of thing, but I’ve been going to the gym for the past 2 months now, and for about a month, I’ve been doing cardio by means of going on a treadmill every other day for 30-45 minutes on a steep incline at about 3.3 mph. (I have low endurance, so I can’t run for long.)

I’ve also been using machines for my abs, torso, chest, and arms. Not to say that I haven’t made progress, since I lost about 2% body fat, but the only gripe I have about my body is my love handles. They’re the only thing that jut out and are noticeable.
What am I doing wrong?
I only drink water, with the rare exception of diet soda, like a can’s worth a week sometimes.
Am I pretty much going on the right track but need more time:?

just give it some more time
diet diet diet
Step up the cardio to 45 min, start doing side crunches to hit the obliques, and knock 250 calories off of your daily diet.
Absolutely nothing! Keep working at it. Everyone has problem areas and usually the first place you put on weight is the last to go. You’re only 2 months in with one month cardio. You may have reached a plateau, where you are not working your body hard enough and because of that you are making no gains whatsoever. You have probably been doing the same things over and over for 2 months (correct me if i’m wrong!) that your body has gotten used to it. Up the pace! If you find it hard due to stamina, do short bursts of sprinting. 30 secs only every 3 minutes. Interval training is great for increasing fitness. This is where you change the speed and how long you go for. Don’t always go on a incline. Make sure you are eating well too. Diet and exercise are a pair and together result in effective weight and fat loss. However, there are some areas on everyone which just won’t slim down all the way no matter what you do. My advice is to keep going, up the pace and eat well. Good luck.
Do Callanetics. At first it is hard, then it becomes easier after a while. You can find it on ebay.com. It is an older exercise video but it really works. I suggest a DVD Callanetics, not a VHS. You are really doing nothing wrong, but to make it faster use Callanetics!!!
