I know that when you exercise, you gain muscle and muscle weighs more than fat, so how can I lose weight without weighing more after exercising but still having more muscle than fat?

What exercises can I do that will help me gain muscle, but not weigh more? Is Turbo Jam any good? What about celebrity personal trainer, Joel Harper’s Dorm Room Workout? What about simply walking for 30 minutes a day?

Also…
Will eating 1 banana w/ a glass of milk for both breakfast & lunch for 2 weeks help me lose 10 lbs. in the 2 weeks? One of my friends told me that and she’s trying it.

Can you please give a healthy diet to follow so I can lose up to 2-3 lbs. a week? Thank you!

Your weight does not matter as much as your waistline. Doesn’t it seem better if you gain muscle instead of fat, even if it does weigh more? Any activity will help you lose weight. It just depends on which area you want to focus on that determines which you will pick. Also, the milk and banana thing won’t work long term. You can’t get all of your other nutrients not found in bananas and milk all at dinner. You’ll get tired of milk and bananas anyway after three days. It is not a healthy diet for long term use, although I’m sure it would be ok for a week.

If you take in more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. If you burn calories and take in a few less; you will lose weight. There is no other way.

if your looking to loose wieght by exercising than your going to gain muscle but if you do it right than you won’t gain to much muscle in replace of the fat. You need to do lots of cardio. Running biking and swimming is the best even though i **** it the most. When you go to the gym do two sets of twenty or twenty five reps so your muscles will become toned instead of bulky. Walking will help alot. Try to get to a point where you can run and if that hurts your joints then go hard on a bike. Some good workouts are rows, bench, squats, lunges, flys, and curls. They are the basics but they work. That is not enough food for you if you are working out. You will loose too much energy and become very tired. Cut back on the amount of total calories you eat durring the day. Try to have five small meals a day. one can be a banana and milk and then have a light sandwhich. A salad with some chicken on it. A bowl of fruit and cearial. A turky ******. If you cut back on the calories you eat by just two hundred a day and start working out right you will loose 2-3 pounds a day easy.
